History

Hartford Postal Employees Credit Union (HPECU) is the only credit union in Connecticut dedicated exclusively to serving United States Postal Service employees and their families.

HPECU was founded in 1957 to serve Hartford area employees of the United States Postal Service and their families.  Today, HPECU provides a full range of financial services to thousands of USPS employees across Connecticut.  A member-elected volunteer board of directors governs the credit union and a full-time professional staff manages the credit union’s day-to-day operations.
